Summer Rose Event 2025

Rose Weekender

Well, we have another treat for you all this year, something for all rose lovers we hope. A chance to see brand new roses and learn about how they are judged before they are made available to the public.

This is what we have in store for you;

Saturday

10.30am  Arrival and welcome with teas/coffee

Our experienced rosarians and rose judges will explain the whole trials process; the how, the why; the method; the roses

There will be guided tours of the trials when we will have the opportunity to test what we have learned and judge some roses ourselves

A debrief to see how we have done and maybe find a winning rose. Remember these are new roses so you’ll be getting a chance to see

tomorrow’s roses today!

13.00pm  Two course lunch of Fish and Chips and gateaux

14.00pm   The Storyteller Garden aka Martin Stott presents an illustrated talk on The History of the Rose

15.00pm   tea/coffee to close

Sunday

We go to Knebworth House garden and park with a Father’s Day Jousting Display

The cost for the weekender, which includes entry into Knebworth House, gardens and Jousting Display (house entry extra charge); all refreshments on Saturday, including the midday meal will be £35 per person

 

OR if you can’t make the Sunday at Knebworth, we can now offer Saturday ONLY at just £25
