How Not to Take Cuttings

Many will have seen the recently posted videos on Facebook and Youtube showing ‘miracle’ methods of taking rose cuttings; getting great results in just a few short weeks. Based on the theory that if it looks too good to be true . . . . . . . . .  Jason, from Fraser Valley Roses, himself an experienced and respected rosarian has produced an ‘antidote’ video to add a balanced perspective to these ‘How to’  videos.

SAD NEWS

We are sad to announce the death of Michael Charlesworth, much-loved chairman of the Historic Roses Group

As many of you may know, he had weathered serious illness in the past few years and had been undergoing dialysis for three days every week in hospital; he slipped away during the early hours of Monday 17 January in Yeovil Hospital. HRG chairman since 2014, Michael had been working tirelessly on HRG matters, despite his health problems, right up to the previous Friday

The funeral will take place on Friday 4 February in Somerset.   Flowers from the HRG are being organised
